  • 7x19 Construction: Made of seven strands with nineteen wires each, this is the most flexible option. It easily wraps around small drums and pulleys, making it the standard choice for running rigging, crane hoists, and winch lines.

Material Grades and Environmental Selection

  • Cleaning Procedures: Wash the rope with fresh water to remove salt, dirt, and chemical residues. Contaminants can trap moisture against the steel and initiate crevice corrosion.
  • Proper Lubrication: Apply a specialized lubricant compatible with stainless steel. This reduces internal friction between strands and protects against surface degradation, especially for ropes in continuous motion.
